Describing a “wave of joy and hope” sweeping the state, Reddy claimed the Congress government’s initiatives are already transforming lives. In a pointed jab at the previous BRS regime, he said the state had been left “in despair and ruin.” Within 48 hours of taking office, the Congress government rolled out free bus travel for women across Telangana, which he claims has saved them a staggering ₹3,433.36 crore. Similarly, healthcare coverage of ₹10 lakhs per person under the Rajiv Arogyasree scheme was launched, another promise he argues has had an immediate and substantial impact.
Reddy blasted the BRS’s treatment of Telangana’s farmers and asserted that Congress is finally giving them the respect they deserve. Within just 25 days, his government deposited ₹18,000 crore into the accounts of over 22 lakh farmers, waiving loans up to ₹2,00,000 each—an unprecedented move he calls a testament to Congress’s commitment to "Rythe Raju" (Farmers as Kings).
Taking a swipe at BRS's neglect of women and the youth, Reddy underscored Congress's initiatives to empower these groups, including free electricity (up to 200 units), affordable gas cylinders, and a massive recruitment drive for over 50,000 jobs. He condemned the former government for “years of failed promises” to these communities.
In an aggressive push to expose what he views as BRS’s negligence, Reddy pointed out Congress’s 40% increase in funding for students in welfare hostels and efforts to revive neglected water bodies like the Musi River to prevent encroachment and pollution.
Looking ahead, Reddy outlined an ambitious vision that includes the establishment of specialized universities and integrated residential schools to empower Telangana’s youth, contrasting this with what he calls the BRS’s lackluster education and employment policies.
In a clear parting shot, Reddy claimed Telangana is finally waking up from a “decade-long nightmare,” saying that Congress is restoring hope and dignity to the state after years of "empty rhetoric" and "broken promises." According to him, Telangana is now witnessing a "new dawn" under Congress leadership—a sharp departure from the previous regime's alleged legacy of despair.
