Kick 2 officially announced; Salman Khan brings the Devil back

Salman Khan, who has been busy with his upcoming film "Sikandar," is now turning his attention to the much-anticipated sequel, "Kick 2." The excitement among fans is palpable, especially after producer Sajid Nadiadwala recently shared a sneak peek that has set social media abuzz.

With a remarkable career spanning over 36 years, Salman Khan has delivered a plethora of blockbusters, and "Kick" (2014) stands out as a prime example. This action-comedy film became one of the highest-grossing hits of the year and showcased a unique side of Salman, portraying an eccentric and principled character. The announcement came on Friday, with Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala confirming the sequel to their 2014 blockbuster. The duo is working on "Sikandar," directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced under Nadiadwala's banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

In "Kick 2," Salman Khan will reprise his role as Devil (Devi Lal), and fans can expect another thrilling ride. The studio shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of Salman from the sets of "Sikandar" with the caption: "It was a great Kick 2 photo shoot Sikandar….!!! The original "Kick" was a comedy-action film that marked Nadiadwala's directorial debut and emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2014, being the first film for Salman Khan to enter the ₹200 crore club. The film also featured Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and was an official remake of the Telugu film of the same name starring Ravi Teja.

In addition to "Kick 2," Salman Khan is set to star in "Sikandar," where he plays the titular role. Scheduled for release in theaters on Eid 2025, the film will also feature Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Kajal Aggarwal. Recently, Salman shared a picture on Instagram showcasing his impressive physique, hinting at the high-octane action sequences in "Sikandar." He captioned the post simply with "#Sikandar."

The production house officially announced Rashmika Mandanna's involvement in the film, expressing excitement about her on-screen pairing with Salman. Rashmika herself took to Instagram to share her gratitude for being part of "Sikandar," stating, "You guys have been asking me for the next update for a long time, and here it is. Surprise!! I'm truly grateful and honored to be a part of Sikandar."

"Sikandar" marks the reunion of Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala after their successful collaborations on films like "Kick," "Judwaa," and "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi." Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film is set to hit theaters on Eid 2025.
