Netflix down for thousands of users in United States, Downdetector says

In a shocking twist late Friday, Netflix crumbled under pressure as its platform went down for tens of thousands of U.S. users, right as fans tuned in for the blockbuster boxing showdown between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. Outage tracking site Downdetector.com reported a staggering 85,021 complaints by 10:35 p.m. ET (0335 GMT Saturday), leaving viewers fuming.

The outage primarily hit major cities like New York, Seattle, and Los Angeles, though reports of disruption poured in from across the country. For a platform priding itself on seamless streaming, the timing of this crash couldn’t have beeN worse, sparking an avalanche of backlash online. 

Netflix has yet to issue a formal statement, leaving frustrated fans demanding answers. The platform has previously faltered during high-traffic events, such as last year’s catastrophic Love is Blind live-stream debacle, which prompted similar outrage.
